Deep convective event occurred over Madeira on 20th February 2010

         A convective system passed over the Portuguese island of Madeira on 20th February. The heavy rain caused flash floods and landslides. Many casualties were reported as a consequence of this severe event.

         The hardest period took place around the 12:00 UTC. Both CRR instantaneous rain rates and Day Microphysics RGB at 12:00 UTC are presented in the following image.
